Dr. Gebhard grew up in Colorado and completed his undergraduate degree in political science at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He attended medical school at the University of Colorado, after which he completed an internship in internal medicine at Maimonidies Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and then his residency in ophthalmology at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA.
Dr. Gebhard also has an interest in global health and has spent significant time abroad working in Mongolia, Bolivia, Honduras, and Mexico. He speaks fluent Spanish, Mongolian and some Russian.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, biking, skiing, and spending time outdoors with his wife, son, and dog. Dr. Gebhard is excited to be practicing ophthalmology in Hood River and The Dalles and still can't believe that he calls Hood River, Oregon home!
Dr. Kenneth Hegewald
Dr. Hegewald grew up in the Pacific Northwest in the Seattle area. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Carroll College in Helena, MT, and then completed his podiatric medical education at Des Moines University. He completed his surgical residency with Franciscan health Systems in Tacoma, WA. Following residency he went to complete the Silicon Valley Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgical Fellowsip with Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
Dr. Hegewald is Board Certified in foot, reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Gregory Stanley
Dr. Stanley, an Undergraduate from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR, attended medical school in Portland's Oregon Health Science University, and completed residency at the Orthopedic Surgery University of Missouri in Kansas City's Truman Medical Center. Specializing in Orthopedic Surgery with a focus on Sports Medicine, Dr. Stanley holds medical affiliations with Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, and Skyline Hospital in White Salmon, WA. Dr. Stanley also completed a sports medicine fellowship training in Perth Australia, specializing in Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopic Surgery.
Dr. John Willer
Dr. Willer specializes in cataract surgery at CGSC. He is a graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and was certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology in 1998. His hospital affiliations include Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, OR, and Skyline Hospital in White Salmon, WA. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Willer also enjoys volunteering to help those in need of better eyesight overseas, including trips to India and Ecuador.
Dr. Austin Hayes
Dr. Hayes is a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the face, breasts and body. After recieving his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, he attended medical school at Columbia University in New York City. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Washington, and a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at The Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore, MD. He then went on to train under several of the country's most prominent cosmetic surgeons. Dr. Hayes performs breast augmentation, breast lift, lift with implants, tummy tuck, mommy makeover,labiaplasty and liposuction procedures. He also performs blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and brow lifts. Dr. Hayes see patients in Hood River and Portland. Appointments can be made by calling the Portland office.
