Before Surgery

Surgery Preparation

 

 

 

 

 

PRIOR TO YOUR VISIT:

Expect 2 separate phone calls, one from our financial staff and one from our nursing staff.
At least 2 days prior to your surgery, you will receive a pre-admission phone call that will go over a list of instructions to follow to ensure a safe procedure and recovery.

 

In addition we will kindly ask questions regarding your medical history. Further, we encourage you to ask any questions you may have about your procedure. 

 

If you have not received a phone call or voicemail 2 days prior to your surgery, please call at 541-769-0426.

It is your responsibility to make arrangements for a responsible adult to drive you home and remain with you for the first 24 hours after surgery.  You may not drive yourself home, the use of public transportation can only be used if you are accompanied by an adult. Failure to meet these guidelines could result in the cancellation of your procedure.

Financial Responsibility: 

CGSC works with the surgeons office to gather insurance information as soon as possible after office visit, to ensure at least 1 week prior notification of patient financial responsibility for upcoming surgery.

If your insurance requires a co-pay or co-insurance it is expected to be paid in full the day of surgery.

Insurance Cards and Photo Identification is required to perform your surgical procedure please make sure to locate all documents and bring them with you day of surgery.

 

 

**Please, NO CHEWING, EATING OR DRINKING AFTER MIDNIGHT (12:00 AM) the night prior to surgery. This includes gum, breath mints, chewing tobacco, water, tea, coffee, juice, etc.**

 

 

For those orthopedic patients that have shoulder, upper arm or ACL surgery, the following link provides information on the interscalene nerve block that will be administered as part of your procedure.
